Rabbi Ruti Regan serves Anachnu, the Jewish organization for disability-informed Torah and inclusive community, where she creates disability-informed spiritual leadership materials for Jewish clergy, writes disability-informed commentary on Torah and liturgy, and leads a weekly Twitter-based parsha discussion group.
Rabbi Regan also serves Matan as Rabbinic Disability Scholar in Residence where she researches Jewish disability issues and creates resources that enable Jewish educators to solve problems.
Rabbi Regan has also taught disabled disability advocates, self advocates, medical professionals, rabbis, cantors, interfaith groups, and at congregations across North America. She was ordained by JTS in 2017, with an MA in Liturgy and Ritual Arts. She serves on the RA Disability Inclusion Committee.
Rabbi Regan believes that the work of inclusion is a process of teshuva, and that it is upon all of us to approach this work with love and integrity.
