On June 19, 2014 CIJA hosted an exclusive telephone briefing with Avi Dichter, Israel’s former Minister of Internal Security and Director of Shin Bet, and Dr. Mordechai Kedar, Lecturer on Arabic and Islamic Studies at Bar Ilan University.

Participants heard expert insights into the abduction, search and rescue operation, the intensifying campaign against Hamas, and the broader regional security situation in the wake of the emergence of ISIS and escalated violence in Iraq and Syria.

In addition, CIJA CEO Shimon Fogel outlined the advocacy strategy CIJA will employ in Canada in response to these issues.
