Until Next Time

Farewell Letter from Daniel Stern

It is with mixed feelings that I announce I am moving on from JFC-UIA to pursue other career opportunities.

During the five years I’ve worked with regional communities, I had the good fortune to travel Canada from coast-to-coast.  At each stop on my journey, I was warmly welcomed into the community fold and treated as a member of the extended family. Getting to know families in communities across Canada has enriched my life and broadened my perspective on being Jewish and Judaism.

It is with great pleasure that I announce that Perry Romberg, my former advisor and mentor, will be returning to the helm as regional campaign director. Perry has extensive experience in Jewish communal service. Prior to serving at JFC-UIA as Director of Regional Campaign and Finance and Resource Development, he held significant positions at UJA Toronto and JIAS Toronto. Perry has worked as a private consultant for the past 18 months.

Throughout my tenure at JFC-UIA, I have been constantly aware of the importance of considering every Jewish community when speaking of Jewish Canada. I would like to thank each of you for your support, engagement and steadfast commitment to maintaining an active Jewish life in your community. You have made my job a pleasure.

I thank you for your support of our mission, and wish each you, your families and communities great success in all your endeavours.

B’Shalom,
Daniel Stern
