Top Donors were celebrated at hospitality events in Florida and California in February 2015. Over 100 Lions of Judah from across Canada enjoyed the Southern Hospitality luncheon organized by UJA Toronto with guest speaker Claire Goldstein Simmons, noted historian and educator. In Palm Desert, guests from Western Canada enjoyed an exclusive update from Will Recant of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC).

JFNA General assembly
Over 100 Canadians attended the JFNA GA 2015 attended in Washington, DC. Jewish Federations of Canada - UIA hosted a special reception for Canadians and partner agencies. Canadians attended exclusive sessions with plenary speakers: Madam Justice Rosalie Abella - the first Jewish woman to sit on the Canadian Supreme Court; And The Honourable John Baird - former Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs. Canadian speakers also included The Honourable Irwin Cotler.

Kitchener Waterloo Walk for israel
Despite the stormy weather, 240 people came together on June 14th at the 4th annual Kitchener-Waterloo Walk for Israel in support of youth at risk in Kiryat Shmona. The 5-km walk was followed by a kosher lunch at Beth Jacob Synagogue sponsored by the Waterloo Region Jewish Community Council. JFC-UIA provides support to the Kitchener Waterloo region Jewish Community Council. In four years, the Kitchener-Waterloo community has raised over $40,000 for Israel through its annual Walk for Israel.
