JEWISH AGENCY FOR ISRAEL

By connecting Jews worldwide with Israel, one another, our heritage and collective future, the Jewish Agency is securing the future of a connected, committed, global Jewish people with Israel at its centre.

The Jewish Agency links the Jewish state with Jewish communities across the globe. It achieves this by creating unforgettable Israel experiences; forging unbreakable individual and community connections between Israelis and their partner Diaspora communities.

By bringing Jews to Israel through Aliyah, and Israel to Jews by providing meaningful Israel engagement, the Jewish Agency is connecting the global Jewish family. By energizing young Israelis and their worldwide peers to rediscover a collective sense of Jewish purpose, the Jewish Agency is building a better society in Israel - and beyond. Welfare and educational programs and ‘Jewish Social Action’ support vulnerable populations and narrow social gaps.

Young Israel emissaries – shinshinim - are now located in Toronto and Vancouver. These young Israelis - on a gap year before entering the army – live with a host family and educate people of all ages about Israel and Israeli culture at local schools and institutions.  Their lasting impact resonates on individual, family and community levels.
