  • Restitution for Holocaust Survivors

CIJA launched a campaign to urge eastern European governments to provide long-overdue restitution for Holocaust Survivors, many of whom live in poverty and continue to be denied compensation for stolen property and assets. In addition to securing public support for this cause from Canada’s three largest federal parties, CIJA organized meetings in Ottawa of Survivors and community leaders with ambassadors from six countries, as part of an international effort that will continue in 2016.

  • Campus Advocacy

CIJA's multi-pronged strategy for campus advocacy focuses on students, faculty and university administrators. CIJA provides strategic training, grants & materials for Hillels & Jewish students across Canada. This includes support for students to build relations with campus leaders, launch academic complaints, respond to security incidents, host innovative Israel-themed events, win student government campaigns, and counter anti-Israel slander.
